This study examines the role of network operations center (NOC) manager from the vantage point of both employers and jobseekers. Findings show that the NOC manager is regarded as the leader of a tactical team that ensures smooth network operations. Over time, the NOC manager’s charter has expanded, with security more important in the job description now than a few years ago.
