This report is a part of a series that appraises various IT and cybersecurity occupations using natural language processing (NLP). This particular study examines the role of security operations center (SOC) leader from the vantage point of both employers and jobseekers. Findings show that the SOC director or manager (SOC leader) role is seen as both technical and strategic, with employers seeking strategic hard skills and a balanced set of soft skills tending toward the analytical.
