This report is a part of a series that appraises various IT and cybersecurity occupations using natural language processing (NLP). This particular study examines the role of incident response specialist from the vantage point of both employers and jobseekers. Findings show that the incident response specialist is seen as a strategic and technically oriented individual contributor, with employers emphasizing analytical soft skills and more generalist hard skills that support an orientation toward risk management.
