Deliver Security and Performance for the Most Demanding Remote Workers

Remote work is now a permanent part of the corporate landscape. Already gaining popularity in the recent past, telework will almost certainly receive a large long-term boost as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, less than 5% of the U.S. workforce was remote.1 However, when businesses return to a postpandemic “normal,” they are expected to allow at least 30% of all U.S. workers to regularly work remotely.

In every company for which remote work is possible, the IT team needs to be evaluating its options to provide secure network connectivity for its workers. Remote networks are teeming with dangers, and security solutions that slow or inhibit application performance reduce worker productivity. Especially for super users, who require both stronger security and higher throughput from the wide area network (WAN), a FortiGate next-generation firewall (NGFW), with built-in secure FortiWiFi capabilities, can provide the optimal combination of protection and performance.
